Abstract
The analysis of ice flow velocity at different altitudes gives meticulous details of glacier dynamics, which can vary the strain rate with depth significantly. In this study, two different wavelengths (C-band and L-band) are used to observe the glacier movement at different penetration depths. Spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data are used to estimate the velocity at different penetration depths using the Differential SAR Interferometry (DInSAR) technique. The glacier line of sight (LOS) movement is estimated and compared for the space-borne C-band SAR (Sentinel-1A/1B) and L-band SAR (ALOS-2/PALSAR-2) data. However, LOS velocities for both wavelengths were retrieved at the same time period, the obtained LOS velocities of the glacier at the different wavelength indicates a significant difference of ˜ 4 cm/day.
