Abstract
Diabetes is the condition wherein a person's blood glucose level becomes abnormally high. There is a need to continuously monitor the glucose level changes for avoiding any adverse effects. There are many existing technologies for glucose monitoring and the most commonly used is the invasive pin prick method. Non-invasive blood glucose concentration monitoring has several advantages like comfort, more effective treatment, early warning of diabetic ketoacidosis etc. In this paper we have proposed a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring scheme based on a square SRR antenna based system which can be used to monitor glucose concentration continuously by monitoring changes in dielectric properties of blood with change in glucose concentration.
