Abstract
The point-of-care testing device has acquired importance for clinical diagnostics because of technological advances in resource-constrained situations and a decentralized healthcare system. The dependency on the point of care device is mainly due to sensitivity and specificity, caused by surface modifications, although it varies depending on several criteria. Our study generated silver nanoparticles using two different catalysts -CuSO4 and ZnSO4 (one parameter) via green synthesis and investigated their effect on the colorimetric detection of Animo acid: proline as a biosensing application and tested against antibacterial properties. A modified paper biosensor modified with catalyst CuS04 produces better results as compared to another for proline biosensing (LOD - 4.34 mM) and antibacterial application (1.8 cm long).
