Abstract
In this work, we have tried to eliminate solar absorption losses in the TiO2 random media in 0.3-0.39 μm wavelength region by introducing a thin layer of TiO2 on top of the coating for passive daytime radiative cooling. We have used Lumerical electromagnetic simulation solver to find out the suitable thickness of the TiO2 thin film. We have shown that for 20 μm and 50 μm thick TiO2 random media, a TiO2 thin film of 84 nm and 22 nm thickness is able to reduce the solar absorption losses in 0.3-0.39 μm wavelength region by increasing the reflectivity of the system from 0.08 to 0.52 and 0.7, respectively.
