Abstract
Increased visibility of the power grid has been the motivating force for deployment of advanced sensing technologies such as phasor measurement units (PMUs). PMUs are equipped with GPS receivers for time synchronization of the voltage and current measurements. GPS receivers are susceptible to spoofing attacks, which alter the PMU timing information. This work develops an algorithm for power system state estimation and attack angle reconstruction with GPS spoofed PMU measurements aided by pseudo-measurements. Numerical tests performed on the standard IEEE test networks indicate improvement in the state estimation accuracy.
